Redmond, Washington: Crooked Courts, Corrupt Cops and Shakedowns of the Poor!

On January 5^th 2021, I wanted to give the second part of this address to the Redmond City Council about Redmond, Washington: Crooked Courts, Corrupt Cops & Shakedowns. 

I thank the Redmond City Council for the opportunity to present grievances of not one citizen, but a community as a whole.

Originally, I petitioned the Redmond City Council to speak about the year-long harassment my wife and I have suffered because I made three mistakes. 

1. My wife and I chose to live in Redmond, Washington.
2. I was assaulted by a Chinese national at 24 Hour Fitness and reported it to the Redmond Police.
3. I announced my political candidacy as a conservative candidate in Washington State.

Due to the rules of the Council, I am only allotted four minutes to speak. 

Four Minutes is Not Enough to Summarize Over a Year of Continued Harassment.

Because there are so many incidents of violations of the law by both the Redmond Police and King County Prosecutor Rebecca Mueller, the law firm of Stein, Lotzgar and Starr, a judge named Gehlsen, a cop named T. Gresham and a police lieutenant named Brady,  it is not possible to even begin to summarize the corruption of the Redmond Court in 4 minutes. 

Therefore, I have petitioned the Redmond City Council to speak in two consecutive meetings.

This is the first of two statements.

Statement #1 to the Redmond, Washington City Council

Thank you to the members of the Redmond City Council. I appreciate you allowing me a few brief minutes to address you and the citizens of Redmond, King County and Washington State about the corruption in the Redmond Police Department and the King County Prosecutor’s Office. 

Everything I am about to say is a matter of court record. Because my time is limited, I am only presenting half of my statement.

I previously posted the entire statement on my two blogs at Heinessight.com and Vote4Heines.com. This statement includes a brief biography and a detailed account of the incident in question.

Who is Matthew Heines?

I am not even sure of the answer to that question. Therefore, let me tell you a few things I have done in my life. I believe you will find them quite relevant to this particular situation.

I grew up dirt poor in Sequim. After high school, I joined the US Army and volunteered for airborne and Special Forces. As a paratrooper I was involved in the most intensive and important duty the peacetime Army had to offer. 

I was the first one in my family to go to college. I have a Bachelor’s degree from WSU and a Masters in Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. 

From 2001 to 2013, I taught as a University Lecturer and a military trainer in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

In order to obtain my wife’s citizenship, in 2013, we returned to the US. We had been teaching near Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We not only wanted to obtain her US Citizenship, I also wanted to be near my aging mother and step-father.

So, that is the who, now what about the why, as in why am I here?

The Truth About the Political Hacks Who Want to Defund Police

There is a lot of talk about defunding the police and not without good reason. But the police are not really the problem, are they? The police are just following orders. They’re doing what the citizens of the community allow them to get away with. 

Let me say that again, the police do what they are told to do. They do what they are allowed to get away with. 

Throughout this county, this state and this country, crooked, spineless leaders would rather throw the cops under the bus before they’ll admit the real source of the problem is the entire legal system itself and the City Councils.

A Parasitic Feudal System

It is a legal system that feeds off the poor and the defenseless. It’s so riddled with corrupt nihilistic lawyers on both sides, it’s become a running joke in our twisted media. 

So that is the why, now for the what.

What you are about to hear is about the corrupt cops and legal system in Redmond, Washington doing what they do.

They do what they do because the leadership of Redmond and King County have allowed them to do it. 

Assaulted at 24 Hour Fitness

Over a year ago, I was assaulted for the second time at 24 Hour Fitness.

My first assault came from an old woman who spoke no English. She tried to shove water in my mouth as I was lap swimming and passed her. I nearly choked to death. 

If you’re not aware, as most people seem not to be, if you get a small amount of water into your lungs, it will kill you. Even though I was a lifeguard at WSU for three years, don’t take my word for it. Check the Red Cross handbook on CPR.

I choked up the filthy water that has eaten through two swim caps in two years. I went to call the 24 Hour Fitness Staff, since they do not supervise the pool. Of course, the phone didn’t work, it was only there for show. 

Chinese Take Out

This made me even more upset but with our limited budget, it wasn’t like I could work out anywhere else.

For over a year there were no more incidents until November 1 2019. At that time, I tried to swim. That was when a Chinese gentleman I had never seen before told me I couldn’t share a lane with him. 

After I explained the other lanes were full of elderly people who stand in the pool and don’t swim, I explained I had to use the middle lane. He reiterated that I couldn’t swim in the same lane as him. 

I have been swimming regularly for thirty years. Never have I run into someone so rude. There are no rules at the pool. There was nothing to explain to the person. I jumped in and did my swim.

The following Monday, I was finishing my last few laps. The same individual jumped in the same lane I was sharing with another swimmer. 

Because the pool is so small, it’s not possible for three people to share a lane. It’s even more difficult if one of them is wearing hard plastic flippers. 

The only way I knew someone was in the lane with me was when I drank in a wall of water while I was breathing for a turn.

At the same time, I had to dodge getting kicked in the face with his flippers.

I stopped the individual and when I saw it was the same guy, I tried to tell him you can’t swim three to a lane. He immediately became hostile. He started shouting and charged me. 

Bringing on the Hate in Washington State for a Congressional Candidate

I have a torn knee that I spent two years on L& I for. The only reason I’m not still on L & I is the cancellations of my benefits by theState of Washington the day the voter handbook came out in the 2018 Washington State Primary Election. Once the State of Washington saw I was running for the Senate – as a Republican, I was suddenly recovered.

The State of Washington left me permanently disabled because I ran as a Republican against Microsoft Millionaire Maria Cantwell.

24 Fitness Responds

I got out of the pool in shock. After I had nearly drowned and then been attacked, there was no one to help or supervise or anything. I was going to make sure one way or another, I was not assaulted in that pool again.

I tried calling the front desk. The phone worked but no one answered. If I needed medical attention, or if this individual chose to attack me, there was little I could do. I would have been dead. . When I finally was able to make contact, I spoke to two 24 Hour Fitness employees. I told them it was their fault for not supervising and posting rules. The 24 Hour Fitness employee told me to leave the gym, and I did.

I went home, called 911 and filed an assault report with the Redmond Police Department. I then canceled my membership at 24 Hour Fitness.

A Political Hack Job? You Be the Judge.

I never heard anything until four days after I announced my political candidacy in Olympia on January 31, 2020, over three months after the incident.

Then I received a supbeona. The City of Redmond was charging me with 4^th degree assault.

The City of Redmond said I was going to jail.

Why did it take them three months and the announcement of my political candidacy to get them to charge me? Was their motivation political? 

I worked out at 24 Hour Fitness at the same time and swam in the same pool for two years. They have my fingerprints and my address on file. Yet the Redmond Police Department claims they couldn’t find me for over three months?

What kind of cops are they hiring in Redmond, Washington? 

As we will see, that is not all the Redmond Police Department claims.

• If their motivation isn’t political, why did the Prosecuting Attorney try to drag me into court like a dog on August 3, the day of the 2020 Washington State Primary?
• Why, when my first attorney reportedly asked the Prosecuting Attorney to drop the case in June, so I could apply for a PPP loan, was her reply, “Not at this time?”

Redmond’s Legal Community Knew I Was Charged With a Crime Before I Did

At the time I received the first of almost a dozen subpoenas, I also received a bunch of fliers from Redmond attorneys saying I had better hire them or I would go to jail.

Like vultures, or the media, the lawyers of Redmond knew I was being charged with a crime before I did and they were already circling what they hoped would be a wealthy carcass to milk.

Unfortunately for the Redmond Bar Association, there was no milk in the carcasses of my wife and I. We were struggling before the China Virus hit, putting everything we had into our business. Now we are just a few dozen book sales, and a paycheck away from homelessness.

I applied for a public attorney. King County assigned a gentleman named Andrew Rice. At my first meeting with Mr. Rice, I explained to him what happened. Attorney Rice didn’t seem concerned at all. He just showed me the camera footage from 24 Hour Fitness.At my first meeting with Mr. Rice, I explained to him what happened. Stein, Lotzkar & Starr

He offered me no legal advice, no strategy, nothing. When I asked him where the record of my 911 call to the RPD was, he shrugged.

He acted as if he didn’t believe me.

Let me stop here. I called 911, and he didn’t know anything about it? Furthermore, he looked at me like I was lying.

Redmond’s Finest

At that point, I didn’t trust Mr. Rice. At that point, I didn’t trust Mr. Rice. After our meeting, acting as my own attorney, I drove directly to the Redmond Police Department. I demanded to see the copy of my 911 report.

The person at the window instructed me to send an email to the Redmond Police Department and ask for the copy.

I did.

The answer back was roughly, did I have any evidence I had called 911?

I had already requested my phone records, so yes, there was a record.

When I replied to this Lieutenant Brady that have proof, well, that’s the last I heard from him.

As this case appears to be dragging on for years of non-stop harassment, if there are any attorneys willing to take my case pro bono, I wish to sue the city of Redmond, Washington.

I wish to sue for violation of my Constitutional rights the right to a fair and speedy trial, legal defense and the right to call witnesses in my defense.

It is my intent to prove the city of Redmond and King County are guilty of assault by trying to expose me to the China Virus, malicious prosecution, reckless endangerment, fraud, defamation of character, perjury, evidence tampering, threatening a witness to a crime, failure to follow up a police report, etc.

I also wish to file charges against the individual responsible for the assault.

The charges I filed previously in Redmond were only used against me.

In addition, I wish to file suit against, 24 Hour Fitness for breach of contract, filing a false police report, slander, defamation of character, etc.

Finally, I believe the City of Redmond is liable for the damages the City has inflicted upon me, my business and my career as an educator.
